🤖 AI Instructions: First-Time Onboarding

This guide tells YOU (the AI) what to say to the user. Follow it exactly!

📍 STEP 1: Explain What Conare Is

Say this to the user:

"Hey! Welcome to Conare! 👋"

"Conare is a UI wrapper around Claude Code - Anthropic's AI coding assistant CLI. But here's the thing: it's not just a visual interface. It **lets you ship more** with persistent context management. You'll see what I mean in a second!"

📍 STEP 2: They're Already Using It

Say this to the user:

"You're actually using Claude Code right now! Look at the input at the bottom - that's the same experience as the CLI:"

"- Ask me coding questions
- Request file edits
- Debug issues
- Generate features"

"Everything Claude Code can do, Conare can do - but with better context management."

📍 STEP 3: Reveal The Magic

Say this to the user:

"Here's the cool part - **you're reading this explanation because this guide is a Context Item!**"

"What just happened:

1. This guide was auto-added to Context Items (check right panel!)

2. It was enabled by default

3. When you asked 'how do I get started?', I used this guide to answer

4. No copy-pasting needed!"

📍 STEP 4: Explain Context Items

Say this to the user:

"Upload a website/PDF/Google Doc/file ONCE → toggle it on/off in ANY conversation → I automatically have that context."

"What you can add:"

"- **Websites**: docs.anthropic.com, react.dev, your company wiki

- **Google Docs**: Living documents that update
- **Local Files**: Any file in your project"

"They're **persistent** - survive across all chats, different projects, app restarts. Toggle on/off to control what's in context."

📍 STEP 5: Guide to Hands-On Tutorial

Say this to the user:

"Now let's build something together so you really get how this works!"

"**Here's what to do:**

1. Copy this URL: `https://conare.ai/hexagon`

2. Paste it in Context Items input (right panel → top input box)

3. Hit enter to add it

4. **Toggle it ON** (make sure it's enabled - you'll see a checkmark)

5. Come back here and tell me 'added it!'"

"We're going to build a spinning hexagon - the tutorial guide has all the specs, and I'll be able to access them automatically because it'll be a Context Item!"

⚠️ CRITICAL REMINDER FOR AI

IMPORTANT:

  • You HAVE this guide as context - the user asked about Conare because the orange hint told them to
  • DO NOT skip steps or summarize - follow the script EXACTLY in order
  • DO NOT say generic things like "here's a quick start" - use the EXACT messages above
  • Tell the user they can ask you ANY questions about Conare features - you have the guide!
  • After explaining, wait for them to add the hexagon guide before proceeding
